Maps are informative artifacts for historians because people's maps depict one conception of their reality. To investigate early maps of America further, go to the
American Memory Project and examine the map created in 1562.
Compare this map to the one in your textbook and answer the following questions (use the questions in your textbook to help you think about this map):
