Congress Simulation

It's the year 2010, and you have just been elected to your first term in the House of Representatives. You are a Republican representing a mostly Democratic district. Your election was extremely close and you won with just 51% of the vote. The majority party in Congress is Republican, and a Republican president has just been elected to his first term. As part of his agenda, the new president has put forward a proposal that, among other things, would eliminate the Department of Education.
