2. Nation by Nation Almanac: This website is run by the Multimedia History Company and provides data by country in a variety of areas, including government, human rights, geography, history, and news.
   
   
3. Infoplease Countries of the World: Infoplease.com's website includes country profiles that provide information on geography, maps, flag, history, current ruler, area, population, capital and largest cities, languages, ethnicity/race, religion, literacy rate, economy, and government.
