Welcome to the Personnages web site!

The Personnages web site includes one search activity and four practice tests (ACE) for each chapter.

Web Search Activity. In each activity, you explore authentic French web sites as you search for answers to questions about region and cultural topics covered in the corresponding chapter. You can answer the questions on screen and Email the answers to your instructor, or you can print the answers out and submit them.

Note: When you click on any link to a French web site to begin the search activity, a small browser window containing the French web site will open.

Windows users: To return to the Personnages browser window, so that you can fill in the activity answers, go to the task bar at the bottom of your screen, and click on the Personnages web site button. To return to the browser window containing the French web site, go to the task bar at the bottom of your screen, and click on the French web site button.

Mac users: You can position the French web site window next to the Personnages web site window, and toggle between them as you complete the questions in the Personnages web site window.

Practice Tests (ACE). ACE Practice tests are provided on the Personnages web site for every chapter of Personnages. The tests include multiple choice, true and false, and fill-in-the blank questions. These tests help you check your understanding of the textbook chapter grammar and vocabulary.

Note: The ACE self-tests are self-correcting, which means that you can check your answers yourself. You can check your answers at any time. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the "Submit Quiz" button. The Assessment Page will appear so that you can review the answers to the questions you have completed so far. To return to the test, click on the "Back" button on your web browser. Once you have completed the test, click on the "Submit Quiz" button. The Assessment Page will appear and you can review your results and receive your score. To receive your overall percentage, you must answer all the questions.
