  2. On the map of Europe during World War I,

    • indicate the Allied powers, the Central powers, and the neutral countries;
    • indicate the areas and the names of the countries occupied by the Central powers at the time of their greatest success;
    • locate Sarajevo and explain its significance;
    • locate the Marne and Meuse rivers, the Argonne Forest, and Verdun and explain their significance in the war on the Western Front;
    • draw in the Armistice Line of November 11, 1918.

  3. On the post-World War I map of Europe,

    • indicate the territories taken from Germany,
    • indicate the territories taken from Russia,
    • indicate the new nations created at the end of the war,
    • show what remained of Austria.
