The problems are also provided in Word 97 format and identified by the icon above. To use these files, you must have Microsoft Word 97 installed on your computer or a word processing program that will read this file type. There are two ways of using the Word files depending upon whether you have Microsoft Word installed or not.
  • If you do not have Word, you will be asked if you want to save this file to your hard disk. Answer yes and designate a folder to save the file to. Open it with any word processor that reads Word 97 file format. You can type your answers to the questions in the spaces provided. It is not necessary to complete the activities all at once, simply save your work to disk. When you finish the activity, print as you would any word-processing file.
  • If you have Word installed, the browser will ask you if you want to save the file to disk or open it. You can do either. If you do open it in Word, make sure you save the file to your hard disk after you make any changes. Once saved to your disk, you can work with the file just like any other Word file.
