Mexico's Popocatepetl Volcano erupted with a vigorous explosion on Sunday evening, sending a huge cloud of ash and smoke two miles into the sky. The arcing plume blanketed the area 15 miles away with ash and forced authorities to put the region on "yellow alert." ( Discovery Earth Alert).
