Image Gallery Activities Chapter 8: Paragraphs: Units of Development
- Write a topical paragraph inspired by each of the photos in the Chapter 8 Image Gallery. Use a different order of movement for each paragraph (see the box on page 198). You might take the voice of one of the family members pictured, of a guest invited to share the meal, or of a detached observer of the scene.
- From the four paragraphs you wrote for Activity 1, select the most and the least coherent ones. Can you see any strategies you used in the most coherent paragraph that you failed to use in the least coherent paragraph? Try rewriting the least coherent paragraph, using one of the strategies on pages 198-202.
