Operations Manager
First Impressions
700 Touhy Avenue
Elk Grove Village, IL 60007
Dear Ms. Smith:
I am applying for the Production/CSR position advertised in the
Sunday, September 26, issue of the Chicago Tribune. My education
and work experience fulfill your requirements for this position.
My production experience covers all aspects of the field. As you
can see on my resume, I have gained production experience in various
locations including a small commercial and quick print shop, a newspaper,
a color trade house, and a desktop publishing business.
In my experience, excellent written and oral communication skills
have been a necessity. At Cooney Press, I worked with customers
to establish an understanding of their needs, as I was responsible
for getting the job into production with clear instructions that
prevented communication errors. As in intern at 3M, I gathered information
at customer sites to aid troubleshooting. In the lab at 3M, I ran
tests and produced reports conveying results to the technical service
representatives.
I have had daily customer contact in most of my work experiences.
At Cooney Press, I addressed customer questions and concerns, provided
estimates, and handled complaints. At 3M, my customer contact involved
trouble shooting situations at customer sites. At Auxiliary Publications,
I worked with customers to complete desktop publishing jobs.
From my experience, I have learned that attention to detail is critical.
Getting the details correct right from the start prevents costly
mistakes that delay jobs, or mistakes that may go unnoticed until
the job is complete.
I have the assets your company needs. I would like the opportunity
to interview for this position. I can be contacted at (715) 268-4409.
Thank you for your consideration. I look forward to hearing from
you.
Sincerely,
Tracey J. Miller
