Sentence Fragments: Intentional Use
Sometimes writers
use fragments intentionally for emphasis after a question, as an exclamation, or
at a point of transition. Fragments are also used frequently in advertisements to
keep the text short.

When you are writing academic papers in college, use intentional fragments sparingly,
if at all. Readers of your academic writing might not realize when a fragment is
intentional.
