Quick Guides to Documentation Styles

Columbia Style

Two Basic Features of CGOS Style
  1. Cite sources in your paper by following the guidelines of MLA, APA, CBE/CSE, or Chicago. Whenever possible, identify the author in your text (rather than in a parenthetical citation). You will not be able to provide page numbers for sources accessed online.

  2. In your list of references, for all online sources follow the examples of CGOS style for the humanities or sciences. Always give the URL, followed by the date on which you access the materials.
