Chapter 12: Thinking Critically, Living Creatively

  1. Creativity can be a difficult thing to explain to someone else. Each of us is creative in different ways. When you have to invent an idea for a paper, for example, do you take certain steps in hopes of enhancing your creativity? Write a short essay that offers practical steps, which you think are important, for people to be more creative.

  2. Thinking about audience can often either enhance or inhibit our creativity when we sit down to write. In a short essay, describe how you think about your audience when you write. Remember to describe how your sense of audience changes depending on what situation you are in (e.g., writing an email versus writing a term paper).
