They are all here to read out loud.

August House
This is a publisher's site devoted to storytelling. It lists references, and it contains a featured story to tell. The company sells audiotapes, also.

Candlelight Stories
This site contains fourteen audio stories including Jack and the Beanstalk and Rumplestiltskin. You need Windows Media Player installed to hear the stories. In the "Kids' Zone" are illustrated stories such as Peach Boy—a Japanese Story and The Slouch in the Couch.

Christmas.com Music: For Your Listening Pleasure
Students can hear music and read lyrics to several classic Christmas songs. Some are done by artists from various countries.

This site links to thousands of tales that students can use for storytelling. You, not the students, should select the tales, however, because this site is a teacher reference site, and some of the tales were not written for younger children.

Listen to a story being read. The site also contains Sounds of the Day and Letter of the Day. While the site is not fully developed, it demonstrates how you might make an audio story with your students.

Listen to music and read the stories. Stories, singing, spelling, and other activities appear at this site. Students can read animated stories accompanied by music and other sounds.
