  1. Interview a teacher about self-regulation in the classroom. How does the teacher define self-regulation? What areas does the teacher try to encourage self-regulation in his/her students? How does the teacher encourage student self-regulation in the classroom? What does the teacher believe are the biggest obstacles for students to become self-regulated learners?

  2. Ask the teacher to describe areas of teaching that he/she felt less confident about when he/she began teaching. Why were these areas of particular concern? What did the teacher do to overcome his/her concerns about these areas? What suggestions does this teacher have for you when faced with these challenging aspects of teaching?
