Several examples of IEP goals and objectives are included.

- Office of Special Education Programs' IDEA Training Package National Information Center for Handicapped Children and Youth.
URL: http://www.nichcy.org/Trainpkg/trainpkg.htm This site provides an on-line training package. Information on the legal requirements and provisions of the IDEA Amendments, including background information, resources, and training scripts. Text only and Adobe Acrobat PDF files are provided.

- Captioned Media provides free loan materials to individuals with a hearing loss, their families, and educators. The National Association of the Deaf administers the program.
- Inclusive Education.

- The Renaissance Group, a consortium of universities seeking to actively reform teacher education, produces the Inclusive Education web site. They provide a valuable web site that covers a number of topics related to instruction and inclusive education. The Teaching Strategies section offers some examples of types of adaptations needed and of adapted activities.
- The Library of Congress National Library Service for the Blind and Physically Handicapped. URL: http://lcweb.loc.gov/nls/nls.html
- The National Library Service for the Blind offer a free library program of braille and recorded materials. These materials are available to individuals who are eligible. A listing of cooperating libraries and facts about the NLS program are given on the site. Visitors can also listen to a sample of a talking book.
- National Center to Improve Practice in Special Education Through Technology, Media, and Materials (NCIP). URL: http://www2.edc.org/NCIP/
- NCIP contains a library about technology and media accommodations. The site also provides video profiles of students using assistive and/or instructional technology and gives a guided tour of an exemplary early childhood classroom. The site was last updated in fall 1998, however still provides useful examples.

- This site provides access to online documents and descriptions of current projects related to the effective use of technology, media, and materials for individuals with disabilities.
- Recordings for the Blind & Dyslexic. URL: http://www.rfb.org
- Recordings for the Blind and Dyslexic is a nonprofit organization with a library of over 80,00 titles provided in taped format. Individuals with a documented disability such as a visual impairment or learning disability which makes reading standard print difficult are eligible to access the library. Membership is required and can be accessed on the web site.

- The Awesome Library has a number of K-12 organized resources and links, which include special education, as well as a section on lessons.

- Students and faculty have compiled a sight of many resources related to special education. In the Information section of the web site, links to effective special education methods and research-validated interventions for students with disabilities are provided.
- Family Village Library: Disability Awareness. URL: http://www.familyvillage.wisc.edu/geeneral/disability-awareness.html
- The Family Village web site includes a section on disability awareness activities for educators and others. Descriptions and links to a number of resources on disability awareness media, documents, and activities are available to educators.
- Gateway to Educational Materials. URL: http://www.thegateway.org
- The Gateway to Educational Materials Project is a project sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education's National Library of Education as a special project of the ERIC Clearinghouse on Information and Technology. It includes a searchable database of "high quality lesson plans, curriculum units and other education resources on the internet." Some lessons plans included in the database are designed for students with special needs.

- This site includes an activity search allowing access to lesson plans that correspond to available commercial materials. Many activities contain a list of prerequisite skills needed and explicit teacher procedures. These can be adapted as appropriate for students with special needs.

- Details and samples of a research project designed to increase the literacy skills of students with mental retardation and/or severe, multiple disabilities are provided at this site.
