Projects that Develop Your Knowledge of Teaching and Learning
The Projects in this section are designed to challenge your thinking and assumptions about education. They focus on three different areas: students' learning, strategies for teaching and developing a productive classroom environment. Each project involves one or more of the following activities: either you reflect on your current knowledge and beliefs, or you talk interview others about what they think, or you assess or evaluate aspects of your current teaching skills. In most cases, for best results, these activities need to occur over a moderately extended period of time. Some suggestions for improving your skills of reflection, interviewing, and self-assessment are included in the descriptions of each project, but you can get more help for developing these skills in the section called tools for professional learning.
