Clip Art for Student Projects

Clip art for student projects (e.g., web pages, multimedia projects) can be located in several ways. If you are interested in locating clip art for the type of projects we describe you might try:

  • searching the Internet for "clip art" or "educational clip art"
  • using clip art collections that come with educational authoring programs (e.g., SiteCentral Web Authoring, HyperStudio, AppleWorks) or connecting to the web sites associated with these products
  • purchasing clip art CDs through a catalog or from a retail distributer
Throughout both "Integrating Technology for Meaningful Learning" and "Integrating the Internet for Meaningful Learning", you may have noticed that we used a great deal of wildlife clip art. These images came from a project we have worked on for several years. In approximately 1992, we created an image collection stored in a HyperCard stack or as BMP files for regional distribution "at cost". Recently, the organization responsible for this collection authorized the Internet distribution of these images for educational purposes. These images may be useful to you in learning to use tools (HyperStudio, Kid Pix, etc.) appropriate to your future classrooms. So - feel free to download images for personal use.
