1. The OECD
Countries can potentially improve economic outcomes through international policy coordination. One organization that aids the process of policy coordination is the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). To learn more about the OECD and its activities, go to the OECD website at http://www.oecd.org/ with links to useful information. Answer the following questions:

  1. When was the OECD founded?

  2. How many countries are members?

  3. What are the goals of the OECD?

  4. Summarize the current OECD Employment Outlook.

2. Macroeconomic Policy
Go to the Democratic National Partys website at http://www.democrats.org/. Find their economic platform. What do they advocate? Now, go to the Republican National Party website at http://www.rnc.org/. What do they advocate regarding economic policy? The party platforms may be listed under agenda/economic. Compare the two economic platforms.
