Introduction

In this section, you will review the five basic sentence patterns. Learning these patterns will help you understand the core structure of most sentences. Each of these patterns will be discussed, defined, and diagrammed. This portion of the Web site includes the same content as the "Basic Sentence Patterns" section of Chapter 3 of Focus on Florida, (pages 89-103), with the addition of diagramming examples and exercises.
