Introduction: Strategic Management is increasingly important to organizations.   Strategic or general managers are those whose responsibilities encompass a broad range of tasks or activities spanning several functional areas.  The following assessment is designed to help you understand your comprehension of strategic management and your readiness to perform as a strategic manager.

Instructions: You will agree or disagree with each of the following statements about strategic managers.  For some statements, you may find making a decision difficult, but you should force a choice.  Record your answers next to each statement according to the following scale:
