- Pick one organization that you think would have a "Low Perceived Uncertainty" type of environment (Cell 1 in Figure 17.4) and one organization that you
think would have a "High Perceived Uncertainty" type of environment (Cell 4 in Figure 17.4) and look them up on the Internet.
Most companies have references and/or links to media articles about their
companies and their annual reports. Read as much as you can about these two companies and the environments in which they operate.
- Given the information you found about the two companies, do you think your
original classifications of them was accurate? What information either changed your mind or supported you original thoughts?
- What impact do you think the type of environment had on the way that each
firm structured the company?
