Chapter 10: Communication in Organizations

  1. Find the country-specific web sites of a single large company such as Coca-Cola, IBM, or Levi Strauss for at least three different countries. Then identify the similarities and differences among web sites.

  2. Relate electronic communication to the three basic methods of communication. For example, can nonverbal messages be sent via email?

  3. Identify how several different attributes of electronic communication can serve as noise. For example, cell phone static may make it difficult for the receiver to hear the sender.

  4. Use the Internet to research the most frequently used methods of communicating in organizations.
