  2. How might a structure based on geography (country subsidies) result in inefficiencies at Exide?

  3. What are the potential benefits to Exide from moving from a geographic structure based on country organization to a product structure based on global business units? What are the potential drawbacks to such a structure?

  4. Following the GNB acquisition, Lutz again changed the structure of Exide, at least on the industrial side of the organization. Why did he do this? Do you think this was a wise move, or might it create additional problems in the future?
