Introduction
This application will introduce you to internet resources that provide information on job analysis in the public (i.e., US Defense Technical Information Center) and private sector. As you work your way through this application you will note that job analysis is at the heart of any HR program. In short, you will see how job analysis is critical for a variety of human resource activities (e.g., ADA compliance, selection, training, and performance appraisal). The job analysis information with which you will be presented complements that discussed in Chapter 4 of Fisher, Schoenfeldt, and Shaw's Human Resource Management, Fourth Edition.
